Welcome to our paradise.
Situated in the old Moorish quarter, Casa Doña Angela is one of the most charming villas in town.
The house has its own swimming pool, garden, patio and terrace.
Peace and quiet
There’s not much noise other than the crow of a rooster or the clang of the passing goats’ bells. But don’t let the absolute peace and quiet of the villa deceive you. Just a stone’s throw away is the beautiful and lively town of Frigiliana.
Buy sherry, Serrano ham, marcona almonds, smoked paprika, saffron and superb wines and olive oil at quaint little shops. Find rosemary and wild herbs, pomegranates, kumquats and lemons (depending on the season). You can use the kitchen or eat in one of the many restaurants and bars.
Why Frigiliana and Angela’s house?
Ever since the first time we visited Frigiliana years ago, it was love at first sight.
At various times, we came as a couple, with our children or with the extended family, and on every visit, we looked at houses.
Our conclusion was always that Angela’s house was the tops. The best location. The most beautiful. Great rooms and swimming pool – and all at reasonable room rates – which we have maintained. When Angela passed away, at an all too early age, we decided it was time to make a purchase. We kept the name out of respect for what she created.
Rooms a la Angela
The four rooms each have their own uniquely decorated Spanish-Moorish style. The bathrooms are also very special; the former owner, Angela, saw to the details with loving care. We always considered it a great privilege to stay in these rooms, which also include a lovely kitchen and spacious dining room.
Breakfast is sometimes served in the dining room, though most of the time, it’s served outdoors.
There’s a fine little patio with a kumquat tree and purple flowering wisteria plants on the walls. On the other side of the patio are your host, Lasse’s living quarters.
This separate area has its own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room.
What we offer
The house is suitable for shorter or longer periods all year round. You can combine work-related stays and meetings with activities such as cooking courses, wine tasting, exploring the area, mountain biking, sailing and hiking. Retreats are another possibility. Together with other chefs, Tina organizes cooking classes and private and work-related parties according to agreement.
The Bed & Breakfast offers four unique double-rooms with private bathroom and shower. You also have free use of the lovely kitchen. The daily rates per person per night are 60 euro in a shared double room for a stay of minimum 3 nights. Room used as a single room +15 euro per night. For one or two days stay +15 euro per night. Rent the whole house in the summer or according to agreement. If needed, we can arrange for further accommodations in nearby apartments.

The city has a nature park with a rich flora and fauna garden. You can hunt stone partridge and ibex or hike your way straight into the mountains.
There are easier and more challenging trails, and at the foot of the valley lies a river with varying degrees of water depending on the time of year.
Once you cross the river, there’s nothing to do but enjoy the view of mountains and ocean. Breathe in the fresh air, and take note of the fragrance of a variety of wild herbs like sage, rosemary and thyme.
If the season is right, the beautiful wild flowers will be showing off their colors.
Just an hour’s drive away is the vibrant city of Malaga with its pleasant walking streets, fantastic food market, good shopping, small streets with tapas bars and a spectacular modern ocean front.
An hour and a half away is the charming city of Granada with the Moorish palace, Alhambra, as the absolute highlight.
And we could go on writing about the many Andalusian sights.
The sun shines 320 days a year in this unique location on Costa Tropical with a temperate climate, even in the winter.
Just 10 minutes to the beach and the lively nearby coastal town of Nerja.
